ANOTHER ONE!

Beware, This girl is in New Mexico and is scamming. She already took money from a family with American Adoption in Overland Park KS, and now she is calling us saying she is due in April. So many stories out there regarding her. Valerie is not even pregnant as far as we know. She was pretending to be a Midwife, and sent false verification of pregnancy. My understanding is the she has already taken $3000.00 from one family.And no one ever has met with her. I called Attorney Hal Atencion in Albuquerque New Mexico and he confirmed she was not a legit Birthmother.

She has email and keep callings wanting to know if we received her paperwork back and that she needs money we of course are not working with her. So this is another for the sites.

Everyone Steer clear of her. And save yourself heartache and financial ruins.

It has been almost 16 years since I went to court with this women, because she had a failed adoption,

The women was found negligent and there fore lost the case. IT seems as though she has been posting yearly under so many alias names to try to damage the work that our company tries so very hard to do! The truth of the matter was that this women brought a girl out to CA and then just left her in a home with no regard for any of her needs.

The Birthmother choose to NOT place with her and move on to  an alternate couple. Oh!! this was a Tragic turn of affairs. I had to Hunt the Birthmother down Via a private investigator and get a notarized statement as to what her taken place and what her wishes were to prove that their was no wrong doing or intent to cause any illegal acts with regard to this facilitation agreement and process.

In 1996 Facilitators did not have to be licensed, all we had to have was a ten thousand Bond and Yes we had this and it was in place. The fact remains that sometimes birthmothers change their minds, and that was the case here. All the Court records are available for public access, If anyone really wants to know the truth.It is available under Hopster VS.Unique Adoptions Inc in Riverside County.

After all these years, This women feels the need to continue to post Elaborate, Fictional stories about what really took place. Unique Adoptions has done over 700 placements since 1994, and remains in good standing with our adoption partners and the BBB.

I thought this will help, I have received several calls over the past two weeks regarding this women,

She has worked with Unique Adoptions, and took money from one of our familys, Then we find out on november 11th she flew to California to Meet another Couple who used atttorney David Raids, while taking money from our family, I received a call from Debbie at Heat to Heat Adoptions in Utah saying Michelle Bloom Promised to fly to Utah to deliver there in January, as her baby is due 2/2/12.

I received a call from a Adam Skyler who said he had been contacted by a Single women who was talking to Michelle Bloom and had been promised her baby as well. She was in New York, and then just last week on Thursday the 8th I received three calls from a couple in New york that Michelle had responded to their add promising to delivery and place with them. She has a facebook page that she has posted on that clearly shows intent to parent as she has named this baby already, JAX....

These women must be stopped. I dont know anyother way to help alert the adoptive parents other then to post and blog about these women who have no problem scamming inocent adoptive couples out of money and just vanish, and move on to the next suspect. It is horrible, SO I am hoping that if she continues to contact other family's this will help you save your hard earned money and eliminate the  emotional trauma that comes with these types of scammers.

So, If you have read the blog about Angela Pynes I have a new twist to this women.

Yesterday Nov 30th, I received a call from an attorney saying her got a call from Ms. Angela Pynes claiming she was in Orange County living in an Apartment with a friend?? and was going to be evicted and need to go back to Texas and was wondering if he was able to work with her if she went back to Texas?? Funny cause I thought she took off back to Texas in the beginning of October.

But NO, I called Adoption Network only to find out that they were the ones who picked her up from the hotel and has a family in place that has been supporting her for the past two months in Orange County!!  (Musical Agency's ) so she has taken finances from two Adoption sources thus far and is now seeking a third!!.. Thank God this Attorney Googled her and found my Blog , he called me and I was able to notify the other agency Adoption Network. This Women has to be stopped before she hurts another unsuspecting Adoptive Couple, As you know I lot 4300.00 to her and my DVD player , I wonder how much the other Agency has given her, and the stories she has to tell about their mis treatment of her. I intend to continue to blog about this Women until she is caught, It is women like her that taint the adoption Arena, I will update you all when I get more information , SO all Adoption Professionals look out for this one....

I have decided after speaking to numerous adoption professionals, that we should start a board to monitor women that are wanting to engage in an adoption with adoption professionals and potential adoptive parents..

This year has been extremly bad with the econemy, and I think that Pregnant women are usng the adoption arena to gain financial assistance with no intent to enter into an adoption.

The laws are so grey that they can go through all the right motions and collect hugh amounts of money through legal and proper sources and then just vanish,. No one to answer to, and adoptive parents are devestated and financially ruined.

What happen to the time when a women who was unable to parent just genuinely wanted her child to have a wonderful family, to provide all the things they felt were important to raise a well adjusted child and was giving the very best to her  child by seeking an adoption??

Women that are so wonderful to consider adoption for their child and place a child with a famiy that is unable to be a parent without the help of a birthmother , and are doing it for all the right reason, I feel are getting the short end of the stick.!

With all the scammers that are out there, it is making it really hard for those that are sincere about their decision to enter into an adoption plan. Not only are Adoptive parents very cautious but all professionals as well. I get so sick of saying I am so sorry your birthmother has taken off!!, or she dellivred already and never told anyone!

I know adoption is a risk, and there are no guarantees but there has to be something done to stop all the money, going out from potential adoptive parents and the devestating effect it takes on them when a birthmother just ups and leaves..

If anyone has Ideas please feel free to let us know. I think we should just have some kind of network to make sure we are all doing everthing we can to stop this abuse.

Well I have to say that not only do pregnant women seeking an adoption scam potential adoptive parents but they also prey on adoption professionals willling to take a chance to help.

After 17 years of working with all kinds of situations this past 6 weeks has really tought me a very

strong lesson. You see I came in contact with a women who we will Call Angela, age 34 out of Texas who was in a really bad situation when she called our office.She claimed she was Raped by a navy Seal in San Antonia and was three months along. She provided us with Texas County Helath Department verification ofpregnancy with a due date of 2/19/12. Well she claimed the abusive boyfriend was comming home that day and needed to relocate asap.

So In order to get her and her two daughters safe, I purchased $519.00 woth of Greyhound tickets after I wired her $300.00 for gas and food to use her own vechile to drive to CA. But then she said it as

stolen by the X-boyfriend RED FLAG! I should of stopeed there. But NO! I felt so bad for her.

I put her on the bus and kept in contact with her the whole way here. When she arrived her APartment was not ready and We did not have a family in place to adopt her baby as of yet. So I took her to the Ultrasound office to get a better date Idea of her pregnancy and possible determine gender .. But to my SUPRISE the tech said Oh look you are 7 weeks and 1 day pregnant!!!!! I almost passed out. Now what was I goning to do with this women and her children that had just arrived and was barley pregnant. NO family wants to get involved with a women that is not through her first Trimester.

So instead of saying SORRY, I cant help you I told her not to worry we would just keep plugging along and that I am sure once she was further along a family would love to parent this baby. So for 6 weeks

I supported her and her to daughters , I bought her grocerys, Clothing, Blankets, Pillows, I let her borrow my DVD Player I had to pay to keep her in a hotel. I could of just said I am sorry I cannot do

this but I did not have the Heart to place them on the streets, so I continued to Hemerage Money from my own savings account to the tune of $4300.00 dollars. Finally a friend of mine said she and her daughters could move in with her and have the two bedrooms upstairs and bathroom for 900.00 a month. Well that was great we could get the girls in school and it would help with finances. I spent numerous hours speaking to at least 7 familys, and All did not want to wait until 4/17/12 to adopt and risk that amount of finances. I can not blame them. Well Angela Pynes said she was going to abort the baby if we could not have a family in place. I tried to reasure her that there would be a family and to have faith.. So now after all this time we are 13 weeks along tomorrow October 5th, And I go to pick her and her kids up from the hotel to get them into a beautiful home and guess what.????

She had packed up everything even my DVD player and just left in the middle of night! On Friday the 30 of September she sent me a text asking for some food Please they need some stuff so I have my daughter take her to the store. When I read the Receipt and realized there was only 3 cases of Dr. Pepper and some Chips cookies brownies, and cup o noodles, Mouth wash and deoderant, I gues I should of thought BUS RIDE HOME!!! but I trusted her. You know you can work with these women

and think they are all so nice and caring, Bend over backwards to help them and then you still get screwed in the long run. And to make matters worese I then get text messages from her saying I treated her like Shit , and that she should have been to a doctor, and had her own place, and her daughters should of been in school. But at no Time did she offer to help herself. She sat in that hotel eating and smoking and just letting me support her and work long hard hours all weekend long to try to save this baby from an abortion. So all of you that spoke to  us about Angela Pynes she is gone, I am out my savings account and who knows what the out come of this inocent child will be. Oh and did I forget to mention that she got a SAINT Bernanrd puppy to hide in the Hotel, The Kids needed something to play with!! Jeepers it never ends with these women.

So as you can see it is not only adoptiveparents that get taken for a ride and used, But it is all adoption professionals, I am sure so many of us have storys of hugh financial losses because we choose to take a women under our wing and try to help her but in the end, We were just another tool to get what they wanted for a very short period of time. I am just glad that it was me who suffered the loss and not one of my many adoptive parents that were thinking of her as a potential birthmother..;.

Screw me once Shame on Me but Screw me TWICE?????????????????

Well today is the 4th of may and alot has happened already this month. I spent 5 hours at county with birthmother waiting for the Ultra Sound results because we never did get a call, so when the doctor finally comes in he says yes their are abnormalities in the brain but we cant tell you what is wrong. We want to repeat the Ulta Sound with the Genetic specialist and let him tell you what is wrong. So after 6 weeks we are no further along then we were when we started this diagnosis. Now tomorrow at 10am we go again and hopefully we get results. So very frustrating for this young women to have to go through this... The county is not all together and they see over 60 Patients aday.. Yikes... And the gal in South Carolina we found out has been scamming three other agencys and taking moneu from all of them, We just found that out last week. She said her husband left her for a 22 year old Stripper and threw her and the children on the street and moved the stripper in. Now her husnd is 49 and has suffered a masive heart attach. He has three stents and a pace maker along with a defibulator. So How the Heck does he keep up with a stripper age 22 : ).......... she used that story last year when she placed for adoption....Theses girls. Now the one that has to go into hiding, well she us still hanging around waiting to deliver next week, no death threats so far .Keeping our fingers crossed!!! Well tht is about it for the updates thus far.

Well where to begin, I have been told that I should write a book of all the experiences I have had with birthmothers through out the past 17 years, but that would take forever, so Instead I thougt why not blog daily like Julia Child did with her reciepes and their out come??

Just a few stories I remember that stand out, and then I will start from my most recent interactions.

'I remember one time about 10 years ago I was taking a women home from the grocery store after shopping and we were carrying her grocery's up the stairs of her apartment when all of a sudden we  were being shot at as two men who robberd a local liquor store came running through the complex.Talk about freaking out the police had the complex ropped off for hours and I was stuck there until all was clear. She acted like it was no big deal and said oh this happens all the time in this neighborhood.

Just Great!

 Then there was the time a gal was mad at me because after a week of working with her I decided she was not going to be a good fit for us and we would not work with her, Well she decided to stay up all night for a week and call 800 SEX TALK lines and use my name and gave the men my cell number, needless to say I had men calling me all hours of the day and night ,I had to Change my cell number that I had for over 10 years. Then she would call the birthmother line and play creepy music in the phone, and she still does this from time to time. NEXT!!!

One afternoon I had to pic a girl up at her hotel and get her to the doctors office, so as we were getting out of the car she says It is f-ing hot out here and proceeds to take her top off right there in Public No bra and naked! Yes Naked, Cars are honking and she is saying I don't care I am HOT!! OMG! I told her I was going to leave her in the parking lot if she did not put her top back on, so she just started walking down the street TOPLESS>> I left but I think a Cop finally pulled her over...

Well enough about those, let me start about my day yesterday and move forward...

I had an appointment to pick up a birthmother and take her to the county Clinic to get some Ultra Sound results, as she had a ultrasound done two weeks prior and was told that the brain looked like it had some abnormal apearance. We had a diagnostic sonogram done and were suppose to receive the results on this day, well after three hours of waiting she finally gets called in to the office , SOO while I am waiting for her to come out I receive a call from another birthmother.

This one is telling me she is being stalked by her EX-Husband and that he is trying to kill her, She claims she witnessed something and now needs to go into the witness protection program. YIKES.When I ask her what this is all about she said I cant tell you  but I need to relocate closer to you to have this baby, Well I am not thinking this is a real good Option, especially if this guy has Killed two people. Holly Cow.

So I say well lets brain storm about this and get back to me tomorrow, I asked her how she knew she was being followed and she said it was just a feeling. Well this gal is due in 4 weeks so heres hoping she stays put..

Now birthmom finally comes out of the office with a disturbing look on her face and when I ask what the results were she says, Oh the doctor did not read the radiology report yet and told me that if something is wrong he will call me and if not well he would see me in two weeks this is so frustrating!! That is county for you! So we are all praying the phone does not ring!!

Now after I drop her off I get a call from one of my  other young ladies, She begins to tell me that DHS has come by and taken all three of her children becuase they found them Stark Naked playing in a mud hole!! When I asked why they were out side naked her words were " Out here in the Back Woods all the youngins play naked in the Mud!" So what do you say to that. I told her I would call the caseworker and speak to her and see what we could do. Boy the things that go on, And that is not the end of my day.

After this call, I get another call from a women that placed three times with us over 10years ago.

She claims she is Pregnant again and wants to place this baby for adoption. Well When she starts telling me she was in a mental ward because she was hearing voice's telling her to do evil things,she asked me if I thought she was crazy , and should she get back on her med's. OMG! She proceeds to tell me that this man told her that if she had sex with him it would get her closer to GOD! so here she is pregnant.!

Now she is in Alabama in a rule area so who knows what is going on but she is 40 and said her voices tell her no AMINO and she won't do that because it is Dirty! So I told her that I thought she needed to call her doctor and get back on her medication and be monitored for the pregnancy. !! This call lasted 45 minutes when I finally got her off the line. WHEW!! That was just one day. Now I cant wait to see what today brings.

I will blog about the outcome of these cases as I work them as theses are the most interesting at this point, But you never know as each day holds something new>>>

I am so thrilled that finally someone is trying to expose these women , I think their should be severe consequences for the women that prey on adoptive parents emotions. It is so hard even as an adoption professional to know if theses women are really serious about an adoption plan or if they are just scamming. There are so many of them out there that we find every year ..

I am hoping maybe if I post these women that we find each year, it will help those of you who maybe contacted by them save some money and heartache.

Everyone askes how long does it take and how hard is it to adopt,.

Well each case is individual in its own right. Is it really possible to adopt an infant in 6 months.?

So many of these facilitators and Agency always say oh we can guarantee you a placement in 3 to 6 months...... How can anyone Guarantee an adoption??
